St. Ambrose University is seeking a dynamic and innovative Technical Director to oversee and manage all technical operations within the Galvin Fine Arts Center. The Technical Director will collaborate with creative teams to deliver engaging, high-quality experiences by overseeing the design, execution, and integration of lighting, sound, staging, and other technical elements. From intimate performances to large-scale productions, the Technical Director will play a vital role in transforming creative visions into reality while upholding industry standards and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage all technical aspects of Galvin Fine Arts productions including, professional artists, SAU Music Concerts, internal events / ceremonies, and external leases.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to conceptualize and implement technical designs or strategies.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of specialized equipment and software.
- Develop and enforce safety and operational protocols.
- Train, mentor and manage students in technical practices and event production.
