What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Clinical Faculty position at St. Ambrose University?
The St. Ambrose University Department of Nursing in Davenport, IA invites qualified applicants for a full time faculty position. Candidates will be joining a well-established department focused on implementing the approved curriculum based on the mission and philosophy of the Department of Nursing and St Ambrose University.
This 9-month position would start on August 15, 2024. Nursing instructors are professionals with the education and skills to prepare the next generation of nurses. They provide opportunities for students to acquire knowledge and practice skills identified in course objectives within classroom, laboratory and clinical settings; using appropriate and innovative teaching methods across a variety of modalities - including online and face to face teaching. All nursing faculty at St Ambrose University participate in the program's evaluation and continuous improvement processes.
Candidates are required to have an earned Master's degree in Nursing. Candidates must be eligible for licensure as a registered nurse in Iowa. Additional state licensure may be required. Candidates must have five or more years of nursing experience that spans more than one setting. Candidates with behavioral health nursing experience are preferred. Faculty rank will be commensurate with the applicant's credentials, interest and experience. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and scholarship will enhance the candidate's application.
