Nursery School Director
We are seeking a part-time Nursery School Director to lead our high-quality program for 3- and 4-year-olds. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, PA Department of Education ECE Teaching Certification, Director Credentials, and at least 5 years of experience in early childhood education.
The successful candidate will possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, be able to develop curriculum, manage staff, and be proficient in MS Office and social media.
Responsibilities
- Organize projects, events, and schedule field trips, In-Service Meetings, and Parent Programs.
- Prepare and distribute all communications.
- Meet the needs of the Nursery School Board, staff, children, and parents.
- Ensure compliance with regulations outlined in the school by-laws.
- Meet requirements of the Pennsylvania Department of Education and NAEYC.
- Oversee personnel matters, including hiring, observing, and evaluating staff.
- Prepare and work within the annual budget parameters.
- Communicate regularly with Pastor, Church Staff, Church Council, congregation, School Staff, and parents.
- Manage deadlines while working under time constraints, daily interruptions, and emergencies.
- Attend monthly Area Nursery School Association meetings.
