St. Andrews University (a Branch of Webber International University)is seeking a Program Director for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program (RN to BSN and Pre-licensure BSN) at its Laurinburg, North Carolina Campus. Preference will be given to qualified candidates who possess a DNP or similar degree. We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Current, unrestricted State of North Carolina RN License
- A minimum of 2 years of academic leadership experience
- A minimum of 2 years full time teaching experience in a board-approved program
- A minimum of 2 years of full-time nursing practice experience
- Familiarity with accreditation processes; preferred experience with CCNE and NCBON Standards
- Prior to or within the first three years of employment, have education in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, appropriate to the Program Director role.
Essential Functions:
- Provides day-to-day operational leadership for the BSN program in accordance with the mission and values of the program, college, and the university.
- Collaborates with faculty to ensure the integrity of the BSN curriculum.
- Ensures program alignment and compliance with CCNE and NBON accreditation standards.
- Provides cohesion across all levels of the BSN program through regular communication and meetings with faculty.
- Plans and coordinates the scheduling of courses with other departments and disciplines as necessary.
- Serves as the program liaison with clinical agencies for on-boarding and orientation of students, maintaining student records, reporting compliance with health and safety requirements, and provides clinical agency updates to appropriate program faculty and staff.
- Hires and provides guidance and mentorship to faculty teaching in the BSN program and staff who support the program.
- Teaches didactic and/or practicum courses in the BSN program.
- Collaborates with program faculty, university admissions staff, and academic planner/adviser to ensure that admissions and academic advising processes are cohesive and facilitates student success.
- Provides program updates and reports at college/university meetings.
- Other related duties as assigned by the Dean of Academic Affairs.
The candidate is also expected to contribute to the University’s programs through interdisciplinary and interprofessional collaboration with other disciplines within the College, and the University as a whole.
