Overview:
As a Cleaner / Custodian / Janitor at our organization, you will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities. Working under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that all areas are kept clean, sanitized, and presentable for employees, visitors, students, and parishioners.
Duties:
- Perform cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, window cleaning house cleaning, shampooing carpets and trash removal.
- Help set up tables and chairs.
- Help strip and wax floors.
- Moving supplies.
- Inventory and reorder supplies.
- Sanitize and disinfect high-touch surfaces regularly.
- Restock supplies in restrooms and common areas.
- Follow cleaning schedules and ensure all areas are cleaned according to established standards.
- Notify management of any damages or repairs needed.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cleaner, Janitor, Custodian, or Housekeeper.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Ability to handle basic maintenance tasks.
- Physical stamina and mobility to perform cleaning tasks throughout the day.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work assignments.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in commercial or industrial cleaning settings.
