Position Purpose:
The Enrollment Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring enrollment and accuracy with contracted health insurance plans. This position is responsible for monitoring, updating, and maintaining enrollment records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. Providing support, the Enrollment Coordinator contributes to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our services, ultimately enhancing our ability to deliver high-quality care within our organization.
Essential Functions
1. Monitor and Update Enrollment Records: Regularly review and maintain accurate records of practitioner enrollment statuses in compliance with regulatory requirements.
2. Coordinate Enrollment Packets: Guide providers through the enrollment process, including gathering necessary documentation, signatures and ensure their timely response.
3. Verify Data through internal software options.
4. Communicate with Providers: Serve as the primary point of contact for practitioners regarding enrollment inquiries, providing clear and timely communication.
5. Collaborate with Internal Teams: to align enrollment processes with organizational goals and standards.
6. Maintain Knowledge of Regulations: Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations affecting provider enrollment and proactively present necessary changes.
7. Manage Enrollment Software: Utilize and maintain enrollment in health insurance portals and internal software to ensure data integrity and efficiency in processes.
8. Develop Enrollment Policies: Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to verifying a provider’s enrollment.
Marginal Functions
Ø Performs both essential and marginal job functions in a safe manner as identified by Saint Anthony Hospital and the respective department while adhering to the Hospital’s confidentiality norms and standards. Actively and consistently demonstrates the core values of Saint Anthony Hospital in all interactions with others.
Ø Assumes responsibility for knowing and maintaining established hospital and departmental objectives, policies/procedures including general sanitation, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
Ø Participates in performance activities including problem identification, data collection, solution selection, implementation and evaluation. Also assists in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies as appropriate.
Ø Participates in staff meetings and other inservices, meetings or committees as required.
General Job Requirements
· 1-3 years’ experience interacting with providers and health insurance plans preferred
· Ability to work independently
· Ability to adjust priorities quickly and organize multiple tasks simultaneously
· Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook and health insurance portals.
· Type 50 wpm
· Excellent communication skills, problem-solving, organization, and ability to interact with all levels of professionals.
