Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing administration, particularly within nursing homes and assisted living facilities. This leadership role is crucial for ensuring compliance with Medicare regulations, developing care plans, and overseeing the overall management of nursing staff and operations. Our current Director of Nursing will be opening our new building in McGregor, Texas.
Duties
- Manage daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring adherence to best practices and regulatory standards.
- Oversee the development and implementation of individualized care plans for residents.
- Conduct regular documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with medical records standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate acute care services as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in delivering compassionate and effective patient care.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives based on data analysis.
- Ensure that all nursing practices align with established policies and procedures while promoting a safe environment for residents and staff.
- Stay updated on advancements in nursing practices, regulations, and technologies relevant to the field.
Qualifications
- Current RN license with a minimum of two years of experience in nursing administration or a related field.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or assisted living setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in care plan development and documentation review processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a diverse team.
- In-depth understanding of physiology and medical terminology related to patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
