The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for coordinating marketing and communications for the parish and school. Plan, design, implement, measure, and maintain a comprehensive marketing and communication strategy at St. Bartholomew Church and School that utilizes a strategic mix of electronic, print, social media, and video in order to target a variety of demographics and age groups.
Responsibilities
- This position's responsibilities include:
- Responsible for scripting, unifying and aligning internal and external communication across the parish.
- Partner with and coach staff in developing and executing marketing plans/materials.
- Recruit, train and work with a Communications Committee and a volunteer Photography team who have expertise in marketing and/or photography.
- Coordinate school marketing materials to support school activities and enrollment events.
- Build external relations with wider community using electronic media generating increased awareness of St. Barts.
- Conduct readership/usage surveys and utilize analytics.
- Collect data about demographics and analyze to improve parish/school marketing efforts.
- Manage and maintain parish and school website. Redesign as needed.
- Prepare and manage budget.
- Direct the production of communication videos

Qualifications
Seeking candidates with:
- BA from an accredited college or university; degree in communications, marketing, journalism or related field preferred.
- “Big picture” thinking to assist in the development and to maintain a comprehensive marketing plan.
- Experience in developing and implementing a social media marketing strategy.
- Experience and high comfort with digital tools including content management systems, mass mail systems and social media platforms.
- Experience with desktop publishing software, Adobe, Outlook, Publisher and other graphic tools.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Must be open to exploring new marketing and communication tools.
- Adaptability to respond quickly to a shifting reality and adjust initiatives and priorities
- Organizational skills and the flexibility to jump from priority to priority
- Be able to successfully complete an Archdiocesan background check.
