Job Summary:
The Digital Content Manager plays a pivotal role in executing the School's digital strategy, managing the
website and enhancing athletics communications. This position requires a creative, organized and
collaborative individual with expertise in content creation, digital marketing, and athletics promotion.
The ideal candidate is a proactive team player with a passion for supporting a dynamic, mission-driven
nonprofit independent school.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop engaging content and collaborate with the marketing and communications team to design strategies that align with the School’s objectives and brand identity.
- Ensure consistent branding across all content, maintaining a unified voice and visual identity.
- Create targeted content strategies for specific audiences, with measurable goals such as increasing site traffic, admissions inquiries and donation conversions.
- Manage a content calendar to plan and execute short- and long-term digital campaigns for key areas, including: St. Benedict’s Prep School, Gray Bee Sports, The Fr. Mark Payne Institute
- Promote the School’s athletic programs and individual achievements through dynamic digital campaigns and storytelling.
- Oversee the School’s website, ensuring it remains current, visually engaging and consistent across all pages.
- Conduct regular audits of digital content to ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
- Research competitors to identify gaps in keywords, content strategies and opportunities for improvement.
- Contribute to the development of critical communication tools, including: the school magazine, video and multimedia content, marketing collateral and email campaigns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional copywriting skills, with the ability to craft compelling and audience-specific content.
- Familiarity with videography and photography, including editing and post-production.
- Adept in using digital media tools, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign), social media management platforms (Hubspot,), and web content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- High level of initiative, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Sense of humor and adaptability in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Commitment to the mission and ideals of Benedictine education.
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours when required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or a related field (required).
- Minimum of three years of professional experience in digital content management or a related role (preferred).
