What are the responsibilities and job description for the Extended Day staff position at St. Bernadette School?
Saint Bernadette Catholic School, located in West Springfield, VA, is seeking enthusiastic persons to join our extended day team. This is a part-time position, with flexible hours: Mondays 2:30 p.m. up to 6 p.m. and Tuesdays-Fridays 3 p.m. up to 6 p.m. School half-days hours 11:30 a.m. up to 6 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates Christian caring in relationships with children and families;
- Maintains a safe, clean, and healthy environment;
- Provides close supervision of children in active play through appropriate positioning and monitoring of designated areas;
- Adheres to a daily schedule that balances active and quiet times, free and structured times, indoor and outdoor activities;
- Complies with Diocesan and Local Program Policies;
- Implements regulations applicable to the program, including fire, health & emergency;
- Expresses respect for all children: smiles and laughs with the children
Requirements:
1. tb test, fingerprints, and background checks;
2. high school diploma/GED.
