Job description
The Support Specialist assists in the installation, maintenance, and general support of systems. S/he also assists users with questions or problems and helps perform system backups and recovery and install new software.
Qualifications:
Required Education:
High school diploma or GED or the combination of education, knowledge, skills, mental development, and relevant experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position.
Desirable Education:
Certificate in Information Technology field.
Required Experience:
Minimum of two (2) year of information technology experience.
Desirable Experience:
Minimum of two (2) years of information technology experience in a hospital setting. Working knowledge of Meditech and Microsoft operating systems.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Manage systems support group.
2. Develop and conduct training sessions.
3. Support main LAN, NT servers while coordinating with vendors.
4. Administer and maintain web page, e-mail server, and DR/SQL server.
5. Administer NT security and backup of non-Meditech data.
6. Maintain a high degree of knowledge of current technology; advocate for the Information Systems Department.
7. Provide technical consulting to Hospital management and staff.
8. Train users in non-Meditech applications.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $30.80 per hour
