What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Service Supervisor position at St. Catherine's of Fostoria?
Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for the community’s physical plant, grounds and equipment in-order to ensure a safe environment.
Position Responsibilities of an Environmental Services Supervisor:
- Repairs and maintains or supervises repairs and maintenance of the physical structure of the facility and equipment or obtains professional maintenance of equipment and/or facility
- Assists in maintaining the grounds including mowing, weeding, raking, trimming and the shoveling of dirt and snow.
- Maintains all records for the Environmental Services departments, conducts preventative maintenance program
- Cleans and maintains all mechanical and electrical systems
- Orders and distributes all supplies for laundry, housekeeping and maintenance
- Orients new hires on fire safety, SDS and lock out tag out procedures
- Participates in the QAPI process
- Responsible for departmental scheduling
- Overall responsibility for the cleanliness of the building and laundry services
- Performs heavy scrubbing, waxing and buffing
- Overall responsibility for the building during emergency situations which may require working outside of normal business hours
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Must be licensed to drive without restrictions.
