Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for daily patient flow for each respective physician for whom they work. This includes using triage skills to gather information from which designated staff can make appropriate patient health assessments and to anticipate physician's needs as they relate to the patients' medical care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals with patient care and administrative tasks
- Perform various clinical and administrative duties, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and updating medical records
- Use triage skills to gather information and make appropriate patient health assessments
- Anticipate physician's needs and provide support as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current MA Certification from a recognized organization, such as AMT, NCCT, or AAMA
- AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider certification
- Ability to travel to business functions, trainings, and meetings
