Job Summary
Responsibilities:
- Gathers information, prepares schedules, and assists in the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
- Assists auditors with supporting documentation and/or information on internal processes required for audit
- Researches and extracts financial, accounting, and statistical data for analysis, and compiles financial and statistical data for analysis and use in the preparation of the budget
- Develops, presents, and assists in implementation of financial accounting policies and procedures
- Prepares complex financial, statistical, and accounting statements and reports
- Analyzes supporting documentation from outside sources and reconciles information with the general ledger
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 3-5 years of governmental accounting experience
- Versed in accounting functions (accounts payable, payroll, purchasing, etc.)
- Possesses knowledge of School Board policies, Federal, and Local Laws and regulations governing School Board business
