Job Description
There is currently an opening for Criminal Records Specialist in the Criminal Records Division. The Specialist may perform operational and clerical duties and tasks, and shall have the physical, mental and emotional abilities to perform the essential job duties of the position. This positions requires working with the public.
Functions of the position are as follows, but may not encompass all duties:
- Self –motivated with the ability to perform general clerical and administrative duties such as data entry, performing record searches and filing
- Ability to maintain databases
- Desire to work in a team-oriented environment with supervisors, co-workers, and other professional contacts
- Due to the sensitivity and confidentiality of record information, the ability to maintain confidentiality is a paramount requirement
- Must be willing to work 6a-2p for a 1-week rotating schedule, once every 4-6 weeks
- Must be able to handle viewing sensitive and graphic material.
- Good comprehension of business English and precise spelling
- Conduct public records requests Scan files for electronic database according to retention policy
