Under general supervision of the Patient Access Supervisor II, this position performs a variety of functions related to the verification process of high dollar accounts that appear on their worklist. Completes the verification, notification of admission and checks to see if pre certification is required while working closely with the payers and Care Management Department. Remains aware of payer regulations and strives to ensure necessary steps are taken during patient access functions in an effort to achieve payment of accounts in accordance with current government and payer regulations. Presents in a professional manner, using excellent customer service practices in the performance of all duties.
