Summary
Conducts sleep studies in the Sleep Disorders Center. Respiratory Therapists must maintain standards of performance for the area assigned, and may be required to supervise the work of other therapists and/or students.
Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of one of the following:
- Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner or Osteopathic Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- Current Pennsylvania Temporary Practice Permit as a Respiratory Therapist AND Pennsylvania licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner or Osteopathic Respiratory Care Practitioner within 6 months of hire.
- Successful completion of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) Certification AND Pennsylvania licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner or Osteopathic Respiratory Care Practitioner within 6 months of hire.
- Registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of previous clinical respiratory care/sleep lab experience.
