Duties/Responsibilities
- Registers patients according to established workflow processes across enterprise, this consist of multiple modules.
- Inputs patient demographic and insurance information for medical record and billing purposes.
- Verifies health insurance.
- Responsible for obtaining co-pay/deductible/out-of-pocket as applicable.
- Responds to the orientation and developmental needs of employees.
- Assists with day to day operation of the department, reviewing and delegating daily tasks, and providing oversight of processes.
- Works closely with leaders for interviewing, disciplinary actions, etc.
- Analyzes workflows ensuring complete and accurate data is entered timely without delay of treatment.
- Audits accounts for accuracy.
- Keeps up to date on Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance Updates that impact patient care & reimbursement
- Collaborates with Case Management, Nursing Coordinators, and Other Departments within the hospital to update accounts to meet compliance, safety, and accuracy.
