Key Responsibilities
- Manage compliance with TB screening, Hepatitis B vaccines, and flu vaccines, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Coordinate and lead educational programs for staff, including orientations, in-services, competencies, and training programs.
- Recruit and support Nurses and Nursing Assistants in their roles.
- Deliver high-quality care to residents according to nursing standards and policies.
- Identify and address infection control problems, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Monitor infection control practices and ensure employee compliance.
- Develop and revise infection control policies and procedures.
- Investigate and contain outbreaks, implementing control measures.
- Collaborate with department heads and physicians to enhance care quality.
- Follow up on employee/resident exposure to communicable diseases.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Ohio.
- Associate Degree or its equivalent, majoring in Nursing.
- Infection Control experience preferred.
- Availability for every other weekend and on-call requirements.
