JOB SUMMARY: As a Beverage/Bar Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting the Beverage Manager in the overall operation of the Beverage Department.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Two (2) years’ bartending experience preferred. Two (2) years’ background and extensive knowledge in supervision in the beverage industry preferred. Must be capable of obtaining a Bartender’s License, or Certification in T.I.P.S. Class (Training in Intervention Procedures for Servers of Alcohol) and Responsible Beverage Servers Certificate. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel . Must be 18 years of age or older.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to function in a professional manner when dealing with guests and co-workers. Must be task oriented, attentive to detail, and be willing to work as a team player. Be willing to tolerate secondhand smoke in a smoke-filled environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: To supervise bartenders, cocktail servers and personnel during their shift. Ensure that responsible beverage service is maintained throughout the casino. Monitor all drink preparation and presentation at the various liquor outlets. Must have the ability to troubleshoot and maintain the integrity of the Easy Bar System, Coke K-way System and tap beer system. Must have the ability to program, maintain, and repair non-functioning cash registers. Assist the Manager in the preparation and coordination of shift schedules for all employees. Knowledge of accounting and personnel systems is helpful. Must have the ability to communicate with various distributors and have knowledge of deep discount buying. Must maintain employee time sheets and work records. Must act in a fiduciary capacity with point-of-sale monetary receipts. Must be able to prepare, tabulate, and distribute shift summary reports to auditing for verification. Must be able to cut off alcohol service to intoxicated guests without causing confrontational situations.
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
