Required

• Two years data entry experience.

Job Description

The HIM / Scheduler has primary responsibility and accountability for scheduling of all disciplines on the electronic software system, maintaining accurate patient records for billing purposes, supply inventory, oversight of the site’s HIPAA compliance, and other related clerical duties, and backup telephone responsibilities.

• You have the responsibility for scheduling all field staff and communicating with staff, patients and physicians to maintain proper care coordination and continuity of care.
• You will maintain and edit all schedules for patients, schedule add-ons and applicable orders, reschedule missed visits and declines, and communicate all changes as necessary.
• You will run all scheduling reports and prepare monthly and weekly schedules and file patient records.
• You will maintain adequate medical supply inventory.
• You will answer the telephone and process new patient referral information.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two (2) years data entry experience. Previous billing and computer experience, preferably in hospice or similar operation.
• Previous health care related billing experience.
  
  

Skills Required

• Excellent computer and data entry skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong commitment to customer service required.
• Proficient in the English language. Able to read, speak, and write English in a clear and concise manner required.
  
  

The hourly base range for this role is $20.50-26.50/hr annual base salary. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: geographic location, relevant education, applicable certifications, depth of experience, and special skillsets. The total compensation package for this position may also include the opportunity to participate in employee benefits including our medical/dental/vision/pet insurance, disability and life insurance, paid time off, and 401(k) retirement plans, subject to applicable plan terms, and/or eligibility for other compensation.
