Job Description
St. Croix Sensory, a sensory science laboratory, is looking for a dynamic, self- starter, with an impressive attention to detail, to join our testing team! As a sensory science laboratory, this role is best suited for someone with an interest in science who enjoys working independently in a variety of self-directed roles.
As part of a small company team, the Laboratory Associate will be directly involved in daily laboratory sample preparation and testing procedures. Specifically, this role will oversee test panels, manage testing QA/QC, conduct calibrations, prepare samples, execute testing procedures, and support project reporting and data analysis tasks.
In addition, the Laboratory Associate will have the unique opportunity to be trained as an olfactory assessor in our laboratory. They will assist with olfactory testing and preparation as needed.

Job Functions:
· Prepare laboratory samples and evaluation environments
· Lead test panels and manage test assessors
· Write test procedures and documentation
· Assist in laboratory QA/QC
· Prepare reports and support data analysis metrics
· Learn and become proficient in olfactometer equipment operation
· Clean and maintain laboratory equipment
Preferred Skills:
· Science based degree
· Interest in Sensory Science
· Statistical data analysis experience
· Technological Confidence
· Excellent written communication skills
· MS Office proficiency
· Previous laboratory experience
· QA/QC Program experience
· Excel proficiency
Qualifications:
· Degree Level: Bachelor of Science Degree or Associate degree with 2 years of laboratory experience
· Desired Field of Study: Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Food Science
Desired Start Date: March 1, 2025

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
