Position Title

Spanish speaking Early Childhood Family Home Visitor

Compensation (Pay/Benefits) Our employees are our most valuable asset; therefore, we offer competitive pay and benefits. The pay range for these positions starts at $49,870- $62,905 a year for full time, depending on qualifications (i.e., licensure and experience). This salary reflects a 40-hour workweek, annualized. Any agreed-upon reduction in weekly hours will be reflected in salary commensurately. Please inquire with interest. This position is benefits eligible, including health and dental insurance, health savings account with an employer contribution, flexible spending accounts, and retirement account with matching contribution. Schedule:

M-F variable hours, Hybrid officing

Location: Minneapolis office location serving Hennepin County community

Program Summary:


The Parent Child Home visiting program provides long term, relationship-based home visiting services to families that are pregnant or parenting young children and living in Hennepin County. Healthy development depends on the quality of the relationship children have with their caregivers. Our parent-child services use a two-generation approach to support parents and caregivers to foster that important relationship.

Position Overview:


The home visitor will partner with families to provide emotional support, developmental guidance and connection to resources in their community. The home visitor creates opportunities for positive parent-child interaction and supports the caregiver in identifying their strengths and opportunities for growth. The program uses the Parents as Teachers model, and the home visitor will be fully trained to implement that model to fidelity.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, child development or a related field.
  • Fluent in Spanish language
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, self-awareness, curiosity and good communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Dependability and accountability to program outcomes, good time-management and organizational skills
  • Understanding of pregnancy/early parenting, infant and young child development, working across cultures, conflict resolution and family centered work.
  • Demonstrated skill in working with parents and young children in a home-based setting preferred
