Salary Range $56,000 - $65,000 per year
St. Edward's University of Austin, Texas invites applications for the position of Corporate and Foundation Relations Coordinator. The Corporate and Foundation Relations Coordinator is a vital member of the Advancement team, responsible for supporting the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate and foundation donors. This role will provide high-level administrative support to the Corporate and Foundations Relations (CFR) team, manage the entire grant lifecycle (from pre-award to post-award), and ensure the timely and accurate submission of proposals and reports. Reporting to the Director of CFR, the Coordinator will collaborate closely with Advancement colleagues and campus partners to identify, cultivate, and secure funding opportunities that align with the university's strategic priorities.
For consideration:
- Bachelor's degree required;
- Proven track record of securing philanthropic support with a minimum of three years of fundraising experience that includes responsibilities for building relationships with potential donors.
- Proven track record of successful grant writing, grant reporting, and grant management experience, including leading the full cycle of pre- and post-award grant activities.
- Experience in securing grants of $25,000 or larger.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships throughout the University and with external constituencies.
- Ability to participate in a collaborative environment and facilitate relationships with all areas of the University community.
- Understanding and appreciation for private higher education.
- Well-developed organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple and complex tasks and projects concurrently.
- Must be willing to travel, if needed.
- Must possess an unencumbered driver's license and the ability to successfully pass a criminal background check.
- The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and weekend to meet the needs of the department. Eligible for a hybrid work schedule.
Essential Responsibilities Include:
Grant Writing - 40%
- Write compelling grant proposals, grant reports, letters of support, letters of interest, cover letters, funding menus, and other relevant support documents.
- Collaborate with campus partners and other key stakeholders (foundation officers and/or external partners) to develop compelling grant proposals, grant reports, project budgets, and other relevant materials.
Project Management - 25%
- Ensure compliance with funder requirements including all necessary interim and year-end reporting.
- Successfully lead pre- and post-award activities with campus partners to ensure successful delivery of grant activities and compliance with funder requirements.
Administrative - 20%
- Support the overall fundraising efforts of the Corporate and Foundation Relations team by scheduling virtual and on-campus donor visits; writing internal visit briefings; scheduling, preparing agendas for, and sometimes leading internal proposal development meetings with campus partners;
- Maintain the Corporate and Foundation Relations' tracking systems to ensure accurate record-keeping and metrics reporting throughout the year and at year-end;
Strategic Planning & Research - 15%
- Support the Corporate and Foundation Relations team's activities related to prospect identification & research, community engagement, strategic planning, and implementation of fundraising strategies.
