Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality images.
- Compute and utilize proper radiation exposure factors to ensure patient safety.
- Evaluate patient condition before and after CT scans, ensuring all necessary precautions are taken.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, adhering to infection control guidelines.
- Maintain knowledge of medical, state, and federal safety standards, following established protocols.
- Demonstrate proficiency in CT procedures, utilizing computer systems in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Record patient data accurately, including procedure details, coding, and modifiers.
- Review images for quality, contributing to quality control initiatives as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
We require:
- A degree from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with a specialization in Computed Tomography (CT).
- Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
State Licensure:
The ideal candidate must hold licensure in Kentucky and/or Indiana, depending on the location of employment.
- Kentucky: KBMIRT Radiation Operator's License – Radiography (Temporary or Permanent)
- Indiana: Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) License – (Radiologic Technologist or Radiology Student Permit)
Specialized Knowledge:
- Familiarity with other modalities within Radiology.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competency in injecting intravenous contrast agents.
- Advanced knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
Kind and Length of Experience:
The successful candidate should have adequate clinical experience from an approved program.
