We are seeking Accounts Payable Specialist to become a part of our team! As part of our team, you process invoices, track key financial data in our accounting system, and manage the point-of-sale system. You ensure financial information is appropriately reported and stored in our accounting system according to federal guidelines and perform regular audits to confirm regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Specialist will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Review and verify invoices and expense reports
- Match invoices for contracts
- Enter invoices and process payments accurately and efficiently into the accounting system
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Maintain vendor and customer relationships
- Prepare financial reports
- Assist with month-end closing
- Participate in financial audits
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment-related issues
- Handles cash and cash related transactions, issues receipts, records and types money lists, and balances cash fund; enters cash transactions in ledgers and reconciles cash reports; prepares bank deposits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Prior professional experience in an accounting environment
- Close familiarity with accounts payable procedures
- Proficiency in data entry
- Ability to work with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently
- Detailed oriented and organized
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
Working Conditions:
- The position occasionally requires sitting, standing and bending. Occasional very light lifting, up to 20 pounds or an equivalent weight may be required.
