Job Summary: The position of Retail Associate is responsible for greeting all customers in a friendly and courteous way, selling merchandise, maintaining a neat and tidy store while also assisting customers with all questions and requests.
Job Responsibilities:
Energetically welcome customers
Operate the register and POS system
Upsell merchandise at appropriate times
Maintain a clean and organized store
Perform inventory
Answer phone calls, emails, and additional inquiries
Maintain knowledge of store merchandise
Serves customers by assisting in selecting products
Drives sales through engagement of customers and suggestive selling
Directs customers by escorting them to their preferred products location
Manage financial transactions
Alerts management of potential security issues
Documents sales by creating or updating customer profile records
Keep clientele informed by notifying them of preferred customer sales and future merchandise of potential interest
All other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs
Previous in-person customer experience preferred
Previous retail experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Detail oriented and thorough
Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way
Ability to perform cash transactions correctly
Knowledge of Microsoft office operations
Ability to remain calm in uncomfortable conflicts
Ability to work as part of a team
Basic knowledge of retail operations
