Responsibilities:

• Interview patients or their representatives to obtain demographic information.
• Secure insurance details, eligibility, benefits, and authorizations as applicable.
• Work closely with all facets of the Admitting Department, including PBX operator function and reception areas.
• Operate a computer to input and retrieve data.
• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues using age-specific techniques.
• Maintain proficiency in medical terminology.
