What are we looking for?
We are looking to add a Remote Medical Appointment Scheduler to our team. As the Remote Medical Appointment Scheduler you are responsible for managing resident appointments and coordinating with the clinical team. You will handle scheduling, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments while maintaining accurate patient records. This role demands exceptional organizational and communication skills to ensure a smooth flow of medical appointments from a remote location.
Your overall essential responsibilities will be the following:
- Schedule and confirm all medical appointments for the people we support
- Follow up on all missed appointments and reschedule as needed
- Communicate appointment details to the clinical and residential support team
- Provide excellent customer service
- Maintain and update medical records, ensuring all appointment details, physician orders, and follow-ups are documented
- Ensure compliance with state regulations and SJCS policies
- Assist with obtaining and verifying insurance authorizations and referrals
- Collaborate with the clinical team to prioritize urgent medical needs

The hiring range for this position is $18 to $20 per hour.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in a medical scheduling or administrative role is preferred.
Fluent in medical terminology preferred.
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Comfortable working in a remote environment
Proficient in using scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
