Florida law requires all Athletic Coaches to hold either a valid Florida Educator Certificate or
a valid Athletic Coaching Certificate.The Florida Department of Education (FLDOE)
issues two types of Athletic Coaching Certificates.
The Three-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate is issued to provide time to complete
the Five-Year Athletic Coaching Certificate requirements. An additional Athletic Coaching Certificate is not required for
individuals who hold a valid Florida Educator's Certificate. Days per Year :
