POSITION SUMMARY
Oversee and manage the repair and maintenance of the Company’s fleet of vessels.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are as follows: ensure that all assigned projects meet their deliverables 95% of the time; ensures that all assigned projects are on budget 95% of the time; ensures exemplary customer service 100% of the time.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Manages the preventative maintenance program for assigned vessels
- Provides on-site supervision for maintenance and repair work done on the vessels
- Assists with design and installation of vessel modifications.
- Troubleshoot technical problems on vessels.
- Prepares repair specifications and contracts for outside services needed to maintain the vessels.
- Prepares dry docking specifications, negotiates contracts, and provides on-site supervision at dry dockings.
- Monitor procurement activity. Verify and raise material requisitions and purchase orders as required within the authorized spending limits. Ensure items are purchased on time with due consideration to budget, contractual, delivery and certification requirements.
- Cooperate with Project Manager on appropriate procedures and schedule to complete the job
- Always maintain good housekeeping and safety on board vessels and in facilities
- Prepare and review department documents (RA, SOP, Internal & External audition, OR) with supervisors and management
- Ensure optimum work processes and equipment utilization
- Contribute to the development of the engineering project plans, design documents, schedules and design reviews
- Perform other job-related functions as assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Experience:
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in Engineering works in the shipyard industry
- Shipyard engineering or construction management experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret structural and piping drawings/AutoCAD/schematics
- Strong grasp of the necessary quality documentation and processes related to construction
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD
- Good technical report writing skills
- Knowledge in Class society rules for vessels (DNV, VB, ABS)
- Ability to interact professionally with all levels of the organization
- Team player, willing to work extra hours if needed
