Location: Remote / Inpatient Facility - Saranac Lake, NY
Position: Full-time Data Analyst
Shift/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm EST
Pay Range: $60,000.00/year to $75,000.00/year
Summary/Objective:
This role is responsible for data analytics and additional support of performance measures, ongoing measurement, data collection, reporting, data visualization, performance assessment, and information dissemination. This position will provide data analytic support to the financial and clinical operations of St. Joseph’s primarily and assist with interorganizational needs as assigned. Is responsible for collecting, scrubbing, and extracting data from various sources to generate reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions. The position will routinely perform and manage standard and advance reporting/analytics and derive insights to drive business decisions and operations. Spends time researching and planning analytic solutions for existing and new problems within the organization as directed by leadership. The position will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate, complete, and timely routine reports/analysis and to prepare ad-hoc reports/analysis in understanding and support of business initiatives. The Data Analyst will also assist in the design and development of healthcare data feeds, interfaces, SQL Server Data Warehouses, and other related needs. Leading quality improvement strategies pertaining to data results, monitoring, and reporting data results to Operations leadership staff and SAMHSA officials for the Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Expansion Grant.

- Required Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree in a Human Services-related field, Healthcare Management, Technology-related field including Data Analytics, or Business Administration with at least 3 years of experience in direct services and/or operations in healthcare or data analytics and reporting preferred
- Or a bachelor’s degree in a Human Services-related field, Healthcare Management, Technology-related field or Business Administration with at least 5 years of experience in direct services and/or operations in healthcare or data analytics and reporting. experience can be substituted on a case-by-case basis
- 5-7 years industry experience in IT relational databases and SQL reporting
- 5-7 years of increasingly complex experience in quantifying, measuring, and analyzing financial/performance management metrics
- Experience working with EMR databases
- Expert level with Microsoft Business Intelligence tools and Power Bi
- Knowledge of data warehousing and business intelligence platforms
- Knowledge of data visualization and reporting techniques
- Highly analytical with ability to translate complex information into simpler terms and concepts
- Experience creating SQL queries from scratch (including complex stored procedures) and data processes
- Knowledge of MS Office suite
- Up to 1 year of experience in research can replace one year of relevant healthcare or data analytics experience.
