Location: Keeseville Outpatient Clinic - Keeseville, NY
Position: Full-time Outpatient Counselor
Shift/schedule: Monday-Friday, between the hours of 8:00am and 6:00pm at a maximum of 40 hours per week
Pay Range Levels:
- Counselor without a credential: $45,000.00/year
- CASAC-T / CASAC-P: $47,008/year to $49,004/year
- CASAC to CASAC - Masters: $58,500/year to $72,000/year
- MHC / MSW: $67,000/year to $68,000/year
- LMSW / LMHC: $75,000/year to $100,000/year
Position Summary: The Counselor is responsible for assessment, case management, treatment and individual and group counseling for clients and significant others.
Education and Training: High school graduate or equivalent and a NYS Qualified Health Professional. Credentialed Substance Abuse Counselor or Credentialed Alcoholism Counselor preferred. Must be CPR certified.
Experience and Work Knowledge: Two years specific work experience in the alcoholism field. Demonstrate knowledge of substance abuse, counseling and therapeutic techniques related to alcoholism treatment. Ability to communicate as necessary to perform job duties.
Physical Demands: No extraordinary physical demands required.
Essential Duties:
- Conduct emergency assessments.
- Conduct and interpret comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
- Develop measurable treatment plans based on initial and ongoing assessment.
- Initiate weekly progress notes and treatment plan review notes that clearly document all treatment received.
- Conduct open-ended focused Small Group Therapy.
- Conduct Individual Chemical Dependency counseling including conjoint sessions with significant others.
- Develop comprehensive aftercare plan.
- Develop comprehensive discharge summaries.
- Actively participate in meetings, committees and quality assurance activities.
- Responsible for additional duties as may be assigned by Site Supervisor.
- Assess clients who may be at risk of withdrawal.
Salary : $45,000 - $100,000
