Manages all aspects of a medium sized (3-5 provider) medical practice, that may also be multispecialty. Stays abreast of all State and Federal rules & regulations, as they relate to the clinical and administrative segments of the practice. Functions as practice liaison to the St. Joseph's/Candler Physician Practice Management Corporation. Responsibilities include staff management, office schedule management, payroll, surgery schedule management, CPT coding, prior authorizations, claims management, financial reporting,operational reports, quality reports and accountability.

Core Job Functions
- Manages CPT coding for all office visits and procedures. Stays abreast of current billing codes and modifiers. Supervises and or inputs charges for rendered hospital services. Manages the relationship with the billing company, and assists them with claim follow up, denial management and refund processing. Manages front office collections which consists of co-payments, co-insurance, pre-collection for surgical procedures and other major procedures, and past balance collection.
- Hires, trains, counsels, disciplines and terminates staff as needed. Responsible for updating co-worker files such as performance evaluations, clinical competencies, job descriptions, organizational chart, Halogen module and site orientations. Ensure system HR policies and procedures are adhered to in all assigned practices. Responsible for monitoring staff time, and approving staff payroll each pay period.
- Audits scheduling and reporting to ensure accurate performance. Ensures practice is achieving goals and objectives set by MGM administration. Assists MGM administration in developing operational targets. Works with billing company to provide financial reporting packets to the hospital finance department monthly. Reviews and monitors financial and operational metrics to ensure that goals and objectives are achieved. Implements corrective actions when metrics are below targets. Responsible for monitoring all aspects of quality data input/reporting and making sure the practice is in compliance with current CMS guidelines.
- Works with Staff and the IS department to implement policies/controls to ensure highest level of customer service and scheduling accuracy. Coordinates with the hospital and staff to optimize surgery scheduling. Ensures requests for standard changes are completed in a timely manner including provider reschedules and No show Reports for practices. May have to coordinate satellite office operations including but not limited to staff and patient scheduling, billing, and IT concerns.
- Implements programs and services to provide patient satisfaction. Works with physicians to achieve growth of the practice. Addresses all patient concerns and issues.
