Job Summary:
Are you looking to serve the community while attending and executing programming and events for one of the best teams in baseball? If so, then the Community Outreach Team Member position at the St. Louis Cardinals may be the perfect position for you!
Under the direction of the Director of Community Relations & Cardinals Care, this exciting, hands-on position will be responsible for promoting and selling Cardinals Kids Club memberships through gameday and grassroots outreach, aid with community ticketing initiatives and game activations, and support Cardinals Care programming including Redbird Rookies and fundraising events. The Community Outreach Team Member will also strengthen and maintain the organization's relationship with the community and perform office work to benefit Cardinals Community Relations and Cardinals Care initiatives as needed.
This part-time position will, at times, require workers to be present at off-site community events. Employees may need to transport items (carrying or using a cart) to varying locations, some of which may be on uneven surfaces (grass).
Job Duties:
- Sell Kids Club memberships at the Family Pavilion during Cardinals home games and attend offsite Cardinals sanctioned events to promote and sell the Cardinals Kids Club
- Aid with Cardinals Kids Club special events and customer service by responding to inquiries and registration requests
- Aid with Redbird Rookies Youth Baseball & Softball special events both at the stadium and in the community
- Act as a Community Relations/Cardinals Care community ambassador and support any initiatives through specified activities
- Help with donation and special letter requests
- Assist Community Relations & Cardinals Care Departments with game day responsibilities including field visit and ticket programs
- Assist with Cardinals Care initiatives including 50/50 Raffle, Cardinals 5K, Golf Classic and Winter Warm-Up
- Assist the Cardinals Care & Community Relations Department with any other duties as needed
Education and Experience Required:
- Experience/training in Sales
- Volunteer or work experience with community or cultural events
- Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and/or in a small group
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word
