The Marketing Strategist will play a key role in developing and executing marketing strategies across the organization to increase brand awareness, fan engagement and increase overall revenue, and specifically ticket revenue. This position is responsible for crafting and implementing innovative marketing strategies that align with the team's goals and vision, as well as providing project management, copywriting, and event planning.
Job Duties:
Campaign Strategy:
- Assists Director in the planning and execution of internal marketing campaigns aimed at driving attendance, enhancing brand awareness, and engaging with fans.
- Works with Business Strategy & Analytics to keep pulse on fan behavior, trends and media habits.
- Tracks the success of campaigns and adjusts as necessary.
- Works with Marketing Coordinator to keep website current and implement e-marketing campaigns.
Project Management:
- Serves as an internal liaison between all departments and Production.
- Provides marketing support from project inception to completion within current project management tools (ie Wrike) to ensure deadlines are met while upholding brand standards.
- Develops and maintains request intake process for internal departments website & e-marketing needs.
Copywriting:
- Writes and coordinates in-game live reads for radio and TV broadcasts as well as radio copy for upcoming promotions, themes and other marketing initiatives.
- Works directly with Broadcast team to ensure spots are written/translated and produced for both English and Spanish broadcast.
- Collaborates with organizational departments and marketing team to best capture the essence of the brand's message and target audience.
Special Events:
- Assists in the planning and execution of the annual Cardinals Caravan, the Radio Personality Luncheon, and other events, as needed.
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing/communications/PR/sports management
- 2 years marketing experience minimum
- 2 years copy writing and graphic design experience minimum
