What are the responsibilities and job description for the Victim Services Domestic Violence Caseworker position at St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office?
The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to assist victims with the aftermath of violent crimes and act as a liaison between victims and the criminal justice system. This is an opportunity to utilize advocacy skills within the criminal justice system under a well-established prosecutor-based victim services unit.
Responsibilities:
-Inform victims of the their rights within the criminal justice system.
-Escort victims to court.
-Keep victims apprised of important court dates.
-Provide appropriate community referrals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes and documentation.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as attorneys and social workers, to provide comprehensive support to clients.
-Provide emotional support and crisis intervention, as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, behavioral science or similar field.
-Effective communication skills.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
-Experience and demonstrated comfort working with those who have experienced domestic violence and knowledge of the cycle of violence is preferred.
-Prior advocacy experience is a plus.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
