What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internship (Summer Engineering Aide I, II) position at St. Louis County?
Seeking highly motivated undergraduate engineering students to join the St. Louis County Department of Transportation team for paid internships. This will be an invaluable experience which will provide hands on engineering experience. Positions will be opening in a variety of areas including roadway planning and development, roadway construction, material testing, roadway maintenance and traffic operations. Interns will receive training, guidance and mentorship from experienced engineers and staff.
The work schedule for the Interns is flexible and will allow up to 40 hours per week during the summer with start and end dates which will correspond with school schedules. Internships will also be available for a variety of hours within the school year. The salary for this position will be between $12.00 - $18.00 hourly and will depend on the Intern's qualifications.

- Assist with Plan review for future projects.
- Assist in construction inspection of roadway projects.
- Participate in roadway material testing in the lab and on the job site.
- Assist with traffic studies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
