What are the responsibilities and job description for the PROJECT MANAGER position at St Louis Public Library?
The St. Louis Public Library’s Technology Services Department is seeking a Project Manager. Our ideal candidate is someone who is responsible for planning, overseeing, documenting, and coordinating IT projects for all departments within the library system.
In this role, you will:
- Manages technology projects as they develop including budget estimates
- Develops project plans, schedules, and timelines
- Make decisions related to writing policies and procedures
- Make decisions regarding purchasing materials or services
- Coordinates services and technology support with vendors
- Manages purchases for the Technology Services department in collaboration with the Purchasing department
- Provides user training on new systems on as-needed basis
- Researches and recommends new technologies
- Evaluates alternative approaches and recommends new software to enhance operations and development
- Acts as the primary point of contact for vendors
Other duties as assigned
You will need to be:
- Skilled to manage projects from start to finish
- A self-starter with critical thinking skills
- Knowledgeable of financial liability for the organization
- An effective communicator for both internal and external customers
You will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management or related field OR
- High School Diploma/GED with 1-2 years related experience and/or training
- Google Workspace skills
- Google Suite experience (Drive, Calendar, etc)
Computer literacy skills (MAC or Windows)
