What are the responsibilities and job description for the YOUTH SERVICES PROGRAM COORDINATOR position at St Louis Public Library?

In this role you will:
Work with outside partners to offer free summer camps as part of the Library’s award-winning camps program.- Coordinate with authors and publishers to offer engaging author events at local schools and the Library.
- Manage other large-scale partnerships and programs, such as the Library’s tutoring program.
- Support the library’s efforts to be an inclusive community space for out-of-school learning and engagement.
- Fulfill administrative duties required for successful partnerships, including contracts and budgets.
- Communicate effectively with Library customers and partners, ensuring they receive excellent customer service
You will need to be:
Friendly, outgoing, and able to build relationships at all levels.- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with competing tasks and priorities.
- Comfortable solving the unforeseen challenges that come with managing programs and working with partners.
- Flexible and able to shift directions and take on new projects in response to needs.
- Able to collect and use data for evaluation and program improvement
Knowledgeable about youth and youth programming best practices.
You will need to have:
- At least two years of experience working directly with youth (public library, education, childcare, or related fields)
- Degree in Education, Library Science or related field preferred
- Strong communication, writing, and speaking skills
- Strong project management skills
Understanding of how technology can be incorporated into learning opportunities

Schedule
40 hours per week. Schedule to be set with the Manager of Youth Services, primarily during business hours, with regular evening and weekend hours to accommodate programs and events. Hours subject to change.
