Responsibilities
· Assume personal responsibility for the progress of all students
· Create academically rigorous lesson plans, materials, and assessments - differentiate as needed
· Teach engaging and relevant lessons daily
· Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff
· Foster a welcoming classroom environment for students and families
· Commit to a school culture of consistency by implementing school-wide systems, structures, and procedures
· Reflect on various data sources to improve practice
· Take a proactive role in creating a positive, structured, results-oriented and fun school culture
· Understanding of 21st century teaching skills and the use of technology to enhance instruction
· Supervise classroom assistant
· Collaborate with preschool and first grade faculty to ensure instruction follows and enhances curriculum and spirals between grade levels
· Participate in school and community events
· Serve on assigned school committees
· Duties as assigned
Pay is determined by education, certification, and years of experience. The range is an estimation.
