REPORTS TO : Facilities Director
POSITION SUMMARY :
Operate, maintain, and repair building heating, cooling, and ventilation (HVAC), electrical, plumbing and other mechanical systems in support of the smooth and efficient operation of Powell Hall. Provide a well-maintained property that meets users’ needs and creates a positive first impression for all. The typical schedule for this role will be Monday-Friday 6 : 00am-2 : 00pm approximately 1 evening / weekend event per week (full schedule would typically include no more than 5 days per week). The salary range is $60,000-65,000 annually.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Responsible for fulfilling the engineering functions in a professional and responsive manner at all times.
- Suggest methods or modes of operation to improve efficiency or reduce cost of operation.
- Operate, maintain & repair new and legacy systems at the renovated Powell Hall to include HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and facilities equipment, bringing in outside contractors when required.
- Troubleshoot all other facility mechanical systems, including elevators, wheelchair lift, etc. and coordinate external preventive maintenance and repair work vendors as needed.
- Maintain organized records regarding equipment purchases, maintenance, repairs, and performance; maintain organization’s OSHA-mandated Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) binder.
- With approval of the Director of Facilities, purchase equipment maintenance supplies and equipment.
