ST. LOUIS TRUST & FAMILY OFFICE works with approximately 60 client families across the country, advising on more than $15 billion of total wealth. We are a multi-family office and trust company that serves multi-generational families with complex family affairs. We are seeking a new IT Technician to work with our IT Manager in overseeing and supporting the day-to-day operations of our Company IT systems and infrastructure. This role involves assisting with IT projects, troubleshooting technical issues, maintaining hardware and software systems, and ensuring the efficient operation of IT services. The IT Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across the firm while maintaining system security and functionality.
RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
IT Support and Troubleshooting
- Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and effective manner
- Act as the first point of contact for IT-related questions and issues
System Maintenance and Monitoring
- Ensure all systems and devices are operating efficiently and securely
- Conduct regular system checks and software updates to ensure security and functionality
Network and Hardware Management
- Manage and maintain network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Coordinate the installation, configuration, and maintenance of new IT hardware and software
Security and Compliance
- Monitor network security and ensure adherence to security protocols
- Assist in the implementation and enforcement of IT security policies and procedures
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of IT assets, support tickets, and system configurations
- Prepare and deliver regular IT performance and status reports to management
- Document technical procedures and best practices for staff reference
User Training and Support
- Provide training and guidance to staff on IT tools, systems, and software
- Create user guides and tutorials to improve staff efficiency
- Promote IT best practices and encourage tech adoption across the organization
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND BACKGROUND:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent experience
- 2 years of experience in IT support, coordination or related roles
- Ability to lift and move IT equipment (up to 50 pounds)
- Available for occasional evening/weekend work for system upgrades or to resolve urgent issues
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive self-starter with demonstrated initiative and proven project ownership skills
PREFERRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Hands-on experience with network management, system administration, and hardware/software troubleshooting considered a plus
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure, networks, and security protocols
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, macOS) and common business software (Microsoft Office, Microsoft SQL, etc.)
- Experience with cloud services (e.g., Office 365).
- Basic knowledge of coding or scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) considered a plus
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
