As our Manager of Security Services at St. Luke’s Health Vintage Campus– Houston, now part of CommonSpirit Health formed between Catholic Health Initiatives and Dignity Health, Will be responsible for Leading and directing operations of the Security Department personnel and material assets to meet hospital security plan objectives, developing an overall hospital security plan that includes risk assessment and addresses the entity's security needs. Plans, manages, and reports on resources required to meet plan objectives at current/future levels. Implements changes in policies and procedures developed to meet present/future security plan objectives. Reviews activities, processes, and policies/procedures to measure, assess, and improve the quality of services provided by the Security Department to its customers.

Responsibilities
- Manages the physical security Functions of the St. Luke's Vintage Hospital campus including the protection of physical assets and securing the physical space of the campus, plus future growth. This duty involves the direction, oversight and evaluation of in-house security employees and extra employment law-enforcement officers.
- Provides input, recommendations, guidance and/or direction concerning security issues to Administration, Risk Management, Patient Care & Support Departments as necessary.
- Develops, Implements and Maintains security and emergency policies and procedures.
- Working knowledge of state and local statutes governing private and contract security operation and employment of extra-employment peace officers.
- Prepares annual security assessments.
- Identifies the need for, Develops, reviews and evaluates security and emergency preparedness related reports, surveys and audits.
- Ensures security employees are adhering to security procedures through constant evaluation and frequent patrol of hospital property.
- Coordinates ongoing campus-wide process of identifying opportunities for improvement of security issues as well as other responsibilities as outlined in the accrediting agency Environment of Care Standards.
- Interviews and selects staff, ensuring each staff member is provided appropriate orientation and on-going training to ensure the highest standards of service.
- Provides coaching and counseling to staff; completes annual performance appraisals on staff members including contract personnel, Provides verbal and written feedback to employees as appropriate; completes counseling.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Some College Required
- Five (5) years leadership experience
