What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early School Co-Teacher position at St Margaret of Scotland Episcopal?
St. Margaret’s is seeking a dedicated Co-Teacher for the Early School program. This full-time position involves working closely with the Lead Teacher to support the development of children ages 2-5 years old. The Co-Teacher helps supervise and guide children in the afternoon, planning engaging activities alongside other co-teachers to continue the children’s learning and growth beyond regular school hours during Extended Day.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Assist Lead Teacher in the classroom.
- Work with other coteachers to plan engaging activities.
- Supervise and guide children in afternoon activities during extended day.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a minimum of 12 core units in Early Childhood Education and preferably an ECE Certificate.
- Should have knowledge and classroom experience in developmentally appropriate practices. Understanding the Reggio Emilia Approach is a plus but not required.
SCHEDULE:
- Monday Friday
- 7:30am 12:30 pm and 2:00 5:00 pm
- 40 Hours/Week, 10 Months/Year
COMPENSATION:
- $21.00$24.00/hour
