St. Martin’s Episcopal School is recruiting Division Leaders to work for our 2025 St. Martin’s Episcopal School Summer Camp. StM Summer Division Leaders must be available from June 2, 2022 - July 25, 2025. St. Martin's Episcopal School Division leaders must be available for no less than one month from June 2, 2025 - July 25, 2025. There will be MANDATORY division leader training on May 17th from 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and all staff training on May 31st from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Meals are provided to Division Leaders at no extra cost.

At all times, a Division leader should present themselves as positive role models and be enthusiastic. Division leaders are expected to maintain open lines of communication with the Director and to work cooperatively with counselors. Job Description
Division Leader
Qualifications:
- Must be 22 years or older
- Must have at least 2 years experience working with children
- College Degree preferred
- Teacher certification preferred
- Must be CPR/AED & First Aid Certified or have the ability to become certified Day 1 of camp.
- Primarily responsible for knowing each camper’s special needs including food allergies, medications, emergency contact information, and other information required for the safety of campers. Coordinate and discuss camper care with the camp Health Care Manager and/or Camp Director when appropriate.
- Serve as the primary responder to all camper concerns or behavioral issues, and report issues to the Camp Director when appropriate.
- Track daily attendance and send rolls to the Camp Director each morning.
- Ensure campers are supervised at all times.
- Be a role model to campers and staff in your attitude and behavior.
- Addresses performance problems of counselors directly, fairly, and in a timely manner. Report all performance problems to the Camp Director.
- Provide ongoing positive and constructive feedback, support, and direction to campers and group counselors.
- Report counselor absences to the Camp Director to ensure your group has appropriate coverage.
- Assist the Camp Director in the evaluation of Group Counselors and CIT’s.
- Follow camp schedules, participate enthusiastically in all camp activities, and develop and lead activities designed for the age and abilities of the campers.
- Be prepared with a variety of activities for rainy days, last minute schedule adjustments, and downtimes.
- Assist the Camp Director in planning special all camp activities and themed events.
- Ensure that first aid supplies are in possession when traveling with groups on field trips.
- Take primary responsibility for ensuring safety policies are followed by counselors and campers at all times.
- Ensure that program areas are kept free of hazards and debris.
