Specific Responsibilities For This Position Include
- Teaching Upper School Mathematics to students in grade levels 9-11.
- Preparing and Teaching 5 sections of math including courses in algebra, geometry and statistics (college prep, honors, or AP levels).
- Planning, organizing, and implementing instructional programming that promotes the academic, social-emotional, and spiritual growth of students in an all-girls school.
- Assessing student learning for both formative and summative purposes using multiple measures.
- Employing high-quality instruction using evidence-based practices to support all learners.
- Adapting teaching methods, projects, and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests.
- Integrating instructional and recordkeeping strategies using Google Suite, and/or other appropriate technology.
- Being flexible, open-minded, and a self-driven team member.
- BA/BS degree in Mathematics or related field, Masters degree preferred
- Knowledge and experience teaching a rigorous mathematics curriculum
- Committed to ongoing professional growth and learning
- Understanding and appreciating the developmental range of the age group
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborative skills, including the ability to work with colleagues and parents
- High energy level, creative and forward-thinking
- A sense of humor, warmth, and a love of working with children and their families.
- Strong work ethic and a caring temperament
