Member Solutions Advisor Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent plus specialized coursework in retail services
- One year previous loan, banking, or financial services experience in a customer support role preferred
- Excellent customer service skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic technical skills to utilize office equipment, computer terminal, and computer applications
- Current knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Cooperative and teamwork mindset
- Bilingual candidates are preferred

Member Solutions Advisor Job Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary liaison for our members; obtain information or provide support via phone and email in a Contact Center environment
- Manage inbound and outbound calls navigating multiple computer applications in a timely manner
- Identify members’ needs, clarify information, research, and provide solutions and/or alternatives while projecting enthusiasm, courteousness, and confidence
- Provide account information such as balances, transactional information, fees, payoffs, account product details, interest rates and other general information
- Fulfill a wide variety of member requests for account maintenance activities on deposit and installment loans/line accounts
- Assist members navigating the ever-growing digital financial landscape including Online and Mobile Banking, Bill Pay and Mobile Wallet
- Perform loan interviews and process consumer loan and credit card applications
- Maintain effective knowledge of all SMCU products and services to seize opportunities to upsell products/services
- Understand and adhere to SMCUs risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management
- Ensure the security and confidentiality of all account and related information and for ensuring that completed work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Meet or exceed individual and team qualitative and quantitative goals
- Attend/complete ongoing training to improve knowledge and performance level
