Duties
- Prepare and serve deli items, including meats, cheeses, and prepared foods, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area in compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist customers with their selections, providing recommendations and upselling additional products.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed to ensure product availability.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow during busy periods.
- Perform bussing duties as necessary to keep the deli area tidy and inviting.
Experience
- Previous experience in a quick service fast food restaurant or grocery store is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is highly desirable.
- Strong time management skills to effectively handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Experience in cash handling is beneficial but not mandatory.
