What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Assistant position at ST MARYS HOME FOR DISABLED?
Starting Pay: $16.00 /hour
The Laundry Assistant Collects soiled items, washes, dries, folds, transfers to carts, and delivers clean personal clothing, bedding and bath linen to the living units. The Laundry Assistant will be capable of operating commercial washers and dryers and reporting malfunctioning equipment promptly to the supervisor. Washing and drying cycles must be timed to insure that no wet or soiled materials remain in the laundry area at the end of the shift. All items that are washed and dried must be folded appropriately before leaving the laundry area and being delivered to the living units of the residents.
